Justina Johnson recently graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a Certificate in Literary Editing and Publishing. During her senior year at Chico State, she was the student director of the Environmental Action and Resource Center, where she managed the environmental library and facilitated educational events. She also worked as an editorial assistant for Flume Press and Watershed Literary Magazine at Chico State. In the Spring of 2010, Justina completed an internship at Gary Bess Associates, and she now also works as a part-time grant writing assistant for GBA.
Justina is passionate about social justice and environmental issues, and she loves reading, hiking, and watching Jeopardy. She lives with her husband in Paradise, California, and her favorite quote comes from a Chinese Proverb: "A book is like a garden carried in the pocket."
